Surfaceform Project Spotlight Kestral

Project Spotlight: Kestral, in collaboration with Sinead Kelly Herbett

At Surfaceform, we take pride in collaborating with visionary designers to create extraordinary spaces, and the Kestral project is a perfect example. This residential transformation, led by the talented Sinead Kelly Herbett, showcases an innovative design that blends luxury with craftsmanship.

Inverted Fluted Relief

This project features a truly unique basement space, with an architectural design that seamlessly integrates the indoors with the surrounding water. A striking feature of the design is a window that provides a direct view into the adjacent pool, allowing light and reflections to interact beautifully with the interiors.

To enhance this space, we applied our Fluted relief plaster, which captures the fluidity and movement of water. The texture subtly shifts with the changing light, reinforcing the serene atmosphere.

Adding to the space, we introduced a polished plaster ceiling that enhances the overall sense of fluidity. The reflective quality of our classic polished plaster maximises natural light, creating a bright and open ambiance that defies typical basement expectations. This combination of textures and surfaces ensures that the entire space feels harmonious and cohesive.

In the pool area itself, our classic polished plaster played a key role in setting a tranquil and inviting tone. The smooth, refined finish enhances the calming presence of the water, ensuring that every element in the space contributes to an atmosphere of luxury and relaxation.

We love partnering with Sinead to bring her creative visions to life, and this project was no exception. It was an honour to contribute to such a beautiful space.

If you’re working on a residential or commercial project and are looking to incorporate unique surface finishes that elevate your design, we’d love to work with you.
