Surfaceform was delighted to attend this year’s Surface Design Show in London, one of the leading events in the UK calendar for architects, designers and specification professionals. The show once again proved why it remains such an important meeting point for the surface and materials industry, bringing together creativity, craftsmanship and innovation under one roof.

Surface Design Show continues to be a valuable platform for discovering emerging trends, new materials, and evolving design approaches across the built environment. With thousands of visitors and exhibitors in attendance, the event provided an excellent opportunity to connect with industry peers, suppliers, collaborators and new contacts.

For the Surfaceform team, it was an energising few days of conversations and insights, from textured finishes and sustainable materials to the growing demand for bespoke, hand-applied surfaces that bring character and depth to modern spaces.

Throughout the show, it was clear that designers and specifiers are increasingly seeking specialist finishes that deliver both performance and visual impact. There is a continued shift toward tactile, crafted surfaces that add individuality and authenticity to projects, something that sits at the heart of Surfaceform’s work.

Discussions around polished plaster, textured wall finishes and decorative surface solutions highlighted how important expert application and material knowledge are in achieving standout results.

Events like Surface Design Show are about more than products, they’re about people and ideas. The team had the opportunity to connect and reconnect with industry partners, meet new design professionals, and discuss upcoming projects across hospitality, commercial and high-end residential sectors.

The level of creativity on display across the exhibition floor was hugely inspiring and reinforces the direction the industry is moving, toward higher quality finishes, sustainable approaches, and detail-driven design.
