Established in 1999 by celebrity chef, Theodore Kynakou, The Real Greek, London-based restaurant chain, has launched its newest eating venue at recently constructed Westfield Stratford. The impressive Westfield Stratford holds the title of Europe’s largest shopping mall, playing host to a range of shops, restaurants and entertainment. The interior of the new restaurant boasts an exclusive Surfaceform Impasto finish, unique to The Real Greek, Stratford. The Impasto helps create the feeling of dining in an original Greek tavern.

At the end of August we completed the Jo Malone retail shop within the Harrods complex. Our white polished Stucco was specified and used to compliment the surrounding furniture.

Our surface artist has been at it again! Recently a client asked us to come up with an exciting new finish for a private residental project. The brief was to combine the glamour of gold in a totally minimalist context. Inspired by simple isometric lines we created this finish which has been a great success.

A bit of drama at The Lir, Dublin, August 2011

The Lir, is a new academy for the Dramatic Arts at Trinity College Dublin which is being developed with collaboration from the Cathal Ryan Trust. Bespoke Marmorino with reflective pieces of silver was commissioned for the cafe area. Bespoke white and silver Marmorino was used on the high levels with an industrial concrete grey Marmorino being used on the ground floor.

Montevetro – Google’s new European headquarters, May 2011

Surfaceform recently used Impasto Metal to achieve a stunning contemporary decorative finish for the Montevetro Office Building – the new European headquarters for Google. The building, comprising of 210,000 square feet of prime office space is in the heart of Dublin’s new business district, Grand Canal Dock. The Montevetro is Dublin’s tallest office building with unrivalled panoramic views.
Surfaceform Appoints New Head of Design, October 2010
Surfaceform is pleased to introduce Orlagh Murphy as our new Head of Design.
Orlagh is responsible for leading our team to work closely with our clients to develop new finishes that meet their specific and very unique requirements.
Orlagh graduated from Dublin Institute of Technology with an Honours degree in Visual Communication Design. Since graduating Orlagh has worked as a Decorative Artist on both commercial and private projects. She has travelled extensively, completing commissions in Japan, United States of America and throughout Europe, several of which won awards and gained media attention. She has hence gained a valuable range of skills and knowledge as a decorative artist which can be applied to both contemporary and classic interiors.

New Premises for Surfaceform, July 2010
We are pleased to announce Surfaceform has moved to new and larger premises in Cookstown, Co. Tyrone. This new location will provide Surfaceform with much needed space and facilities to continue to develop and provide innovative hand-crafted surface finishes for the commercial and private sector.
We will soon be abe to provide opportunities for interested parties to visit us through appointments when Surfaceform’s new Design Centre opens in early Autumn, details of which will be released at a later date.
